MC Plan and Site Services’ staff and volunteers rolled up their sleeves at Michael House in Boscombe last weekend, to carry out vital tasks as part of the ongoing phases of improvement works. The day demonstrated the power of teamwork and community spirit in creating positive change.
The twenty volunteers were divided into various teams; one group focused their efforts on the garden room, completing the drylining in preparation for plastering scheduled for this week, while others braved the chilly weather to paint the garden walls, adding a fresh touch to the outdoor space.
Inside the house, another team stripped out and redecorated the old kitchen in House 50, ensuring it was ready for the imminent installation of a brand-new kitchen, while a further crew repaired and redecorated the paintwork in the residents’ lounge, breathing new life to the room.
The day was filled with laughter, hard work, and a shared sense of purpose, all for an incredible cause. This effort exemplifies the commitment of all the volunteers to supporting those in need and improving the living conditions at Michael House.
“This was a remarkable demonstration of community spirit and dedication,” said Mark Horsford from Michael House.
“We are eminently grateful to MC for co-ordinating all the ongoing works and it was heartwarming to see so many people coming together to make a difference to the lives of our residents. We are in awe of the generosity of the companies who have all provided their time and resources for this project.”
To show their gratitude for all the support received, MC Plan and Site Services will be hosting a ‘thank you’ dinner for all those involved, this Friday”
