Sleeping Beauty

From the same team that brought you the UK Panto Award-winning Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella and last year’s hit Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty really will be your dream pantomime. Written and directed by CBeebies favourite Chris Jarvis, who also appears as Dame Nanny Nutkins, EastEnders star Todd Carty heads as the cast as the King.

Original Music Awards 2025

The annual red carpet event to celebrate those who work in Dorset’s original music sector. Nominees and winners are decided by an independent panel of music reviewers, musicians, backstage crew, radio presenters and festival organisers. Among the special awards winners is Dorset-born artist PJ Harvey for her inspirational contribution to the county’s music scene.

Holocaust Memorial Day

Monday 27 January 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. 2025 also marks the 30th anniversary of the Bosnian genocide. The Bournemouth and Poole Holocaust Memorial Day Committee will mark both these anniversaries. After an act of commemoration, a Muslim survivor of the Bosnian genocide who now lives in Bournemouth will speak ahead of the main speaker, the daughter of Holocaust survivor, Yehuda Bacon.
 
Big Sing 2025: Broadway Melodies
Sunday 26 January, 4pm, Concert Hall

Join Bournemouth Symphony Chorus in a singing workshop followed by an informal run through of songs from some of the greatest Broadway shows including Guys and Dolls and Jesus Christ Superstar and the hits of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The day will be led by Gavin Carr, inspirational Director of the BSC.
