Hospice charity’s new podcast series offers support and guidance for individuals facing a life-limiting Illness or navigating grief

In a world where life-limiting illnesses and grief can often leave individuals feeling isolated and overwhelmed, a new groundbreaking 21-part podcast series created by Forest Holme Hospice Charity based in Poole, Dorset has launched which aims to provide valuable insights, advice and resources for those living with a life-limiting illness or are experiencing the complex journey of grief.

Hosted by Forest Holme Hospice Charity’s CEO, Hannah O’ Hare, ‘Life & Loss’ brings together individuals of different ages and backgrounds with unique first-hand experiences, alongside healthcare professionals, to share their stories, knowledge, information and strategies for coping with the many challenges associated with life-limiting illnesses and grief.

Hannah O’ Hare, speaking about the launch of the podcast, said, " I’ve interviewed some incredible people who have shared their personal experiences of life limiting illness, death and grief. Life & Loss’ episodes are released on a weekly basis and began with Dr Amy Pharaoh discussing ‘What Does Dying Look Like’ followed by Mark Hayward’s personal account of ‘Living With A Brain Tumour’. Further episodes include topics such as ‘The Importance Of End-Of-Life Care Planning’, ‘Finding Purpose Through Loss’ and ‘Mindfulness As A Tool For Grieving’, while Martin Edwards, CEO at Julia’s House Children's Hospice in Dorset and Wiltshire, discusses the extremely emotive issue of ‘Grieving The Loss Of A Child’.
